Holiday to me means less time to cook. I will be so lazy to cook that I could skip my meals. Compared to school days, I guess I don’t get enough proper meal. I’ll come up with the most instant recipes that I can make to shorten my time in the kitchen. So usually during holidays, lots of new quick recipes are created.
For instances, like today’s dinner I didn’t have much ingredients that I could use left in the fridge. I still had a can of tuna that I bought from Korean market at downtown that I thought I could use to mix with hot white rice. Knowing that I also didn’t have any vegetables that I could pair up with tuna, I decided to add gojujang to my rice. It gives more flavour to the rice and helps to balance the saltiness of the tuna with its sweet and spicy taste.
Along with the shredded tuna, I mixed the hot rice and gojujang in a bowl. It tasted pretty well and reminded me of the korean mixed rice.. Other than the time for cooking rice, it took me only less than five minutes to make this meal.
